Welcome to Westgate Sounds.... Dark Sounds for Dark Times
Here you will find soundsets in .SFZ/.WAV format and soundfont format (.sf2 files) for any instrument that can load them.
Here you will also find the sounds of darkness. Not the traditional creepy, scary sounds of Halloween FX compilations but atmospheres that hint and evoke shadows and mists and creeping things in the dark of night. Hooded cultists wandering through fog drenched streets in search of the Old Ones. Not the blatant discovery of a severed finger in your food but the more horrifying discovery of finding a fingernail and a few pieces of flesh with the sudden realization that you do not know how much of that finger you have consumed.
We hope you enjoy the sounds....

The Anomaly series:
This began with drum samples provided by DangerousBear.com.
I had an idea in my head to take drum samples and turn them into FX/atmospheres....
So Anomaly Volume 1 was born - Dark FX, Strange Atmospheres...
This was originally meant to be a single library for the Wusikstation vsti. But after making the FX for the first Volume, and then making presets for it in other instruments, it began to take on a life of its own. I discovered that by taking these sounds into different virtual instruments, such as Absynth, Kontakt, Dimension Pro, Rapture and Rhino from BigTick, I could get vastly different sonic results. I also discoved that I wanted other sounds to combine with the FX... But always with the general idea behind the first library - dark atmospheres, strange visions, ethereal and brooding aural ambience - the sounds of nightmares.
The idea behind the complete Anomaly series is to have a set of sounds that can create subtle, haunting, mysterious, evocative, dystopian and even sometimes harsh sounds which you can intertwine to create any kind of atmosphere or sound bed with. They evoke shades reminiscent of Chthonic atmospheres and soundscapes, FX and aural cues more than likely to be found in horror movie soundtracks.
What people are saying:
"Very good sounds there, congrats. :-) I was actually looking for something like this, so you really nailed a sound that didn't exist on the market."
"A really fantastic sound set. Thank you very much!"
"I finally got around to try Anomaly, some dark stuff and brooding moods in there..."
"Ok, having tried out all of the Anomaly sounds, I will say this.......this soundset is f**ckin' great! If you like dark ambient and experimental music, this is a must have....many of these sounds are just dying to be fed through even more effects. If you like making pretty and happy tunes, stay far away from Anomaly. But if you're like me and prefer your music to be creepy and twisted, then by all means get this!!!"
"thanks for this Sf2-set with really amazing waveforms inside!"
"Volumes 1 and 2 are incredible! I'm not sure if you guys are geniuses or madmen but I've never heard sounds like that before. It's as if someone translated the deepest, darkest thoughts of some fear-crazed lunatic and turned them into sound! They would make the perfect soundtrack for a Cthulhu film! H.P Lovecraft would be proud.
Well done guys!
p.s. I was checking out some of the presets and my 13 year-old daughter was begging me to stop. "You're scaring me!"..."
"The last one I tried was Anomaly and it's the reason why I only had 3 hours sleep last night... The sounds in this thing are f**cking unbelievable. I spent hours upon hours listening to the demo's, and thinking of ways I can use the sounds."
